When Onyxpane credits days back, where the money goes, which part of a top-up comes back in crypto, and how to ask.

**Quick answer — Does Onyxpane give refunds?**

Yes, in defined cases. If a server cannot be set up, or does not run and support cannot fix it, the days it did not run go back to your balance. Balance never expires. Top-ups are not paid out unless the law requires it; the part added only to reach the minimum top-up comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it is unspent. Credited days go to your Onyxpane balance, not to a wallet, and no KYC is needed to ask.

## 1. When do days go back to my balance?

Days go back to your balance in two cases, and only in these two:

- **The server cannot be set up**, for example because the location you chose cannot take new servers. The server is not created, and its full price stays on your balance.
- **The server does not run, and support cannot fix it.** The days it did not run go back to your balance. One day is worth 1/30 of the plan price, because a plan pays for 30 days.

The table shows how the rule applies in common cases.

| What happens | Result |
| --- | --- |
| You order RDP 4 at $9.75 in London, and London cannot take new servers by the time your payment is confirmed | No server is created. $9.75 stays on your balance, and you can order again in another city. |
| Your RDP 8 at $21 runs for 10 days, then stops, and support cannot fix it | The 20 days it did not run go back to your balance: 20/30 of $21. |
| Remote Desktop stops answering after you change a firewall rule, or you forget the password you set | No credit: the server still runs. Support helps with Remote Desktop and firewall rules. A reinstall gives a new Administrator password, but it erases the disk. |
| You delete your RDP 2 after 12 days | No credit. Deleting a server ends it with the days left on it. |
| Your server is suspended for brute-forcing other people's servers | No credit. A suspension for a breach of the acceptable use policy is not a refund case. |
| Auto-renew is off, or your balance is too low, when the 30 days end | The server is suspended and its disk kept for 7 days, then deleted. Nothing more is charged, and nothing is credited. |

## 2. Where does a refund go?

Credited days go to your Onyxpane balance, in US dollars, as soon as support confirms them. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your Windows servers. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

The balance pays for any plan on the page about [how much a Windows RDP costs at Onyxpane](https://onyxpane.com/pricing/ "Onyxpane Windows RDP plans and prices per 30 days"), in any of the four locations.

## 3. Can I get crypto back from a top-up?

Top-ups are not paid out unless the law requires it, with one exception: the part added only to reach the $25 minimum top-up. That part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it is unspent.

The exception exists because of the minimum. When a plan costs less than $25, the top-up is set to the minimum, and the difference lands on your balance.

| What you paid | What can come back in USDT or USDC |
| --- | --- |
| $25 for an order of RDP 2 at $6.74 | $25 minus $6.74, if you ask within 30 days and it is unspent. |
| $25 for an order of RDP 8 at $21 | $25 minus $21, on the same conditions. |
| More than $25 for an order of RDP 4 at $9.75 | Still $25 minus $9.75: only the part up to the minimum counts. Anything above it is ordinary balance. |
| $37.50 for an order of RDP 16 | Nothing. The plan costs more than the minimum, so no part was added to reach it. |
| Any top-up, when you ask 45 days after paying | Nothing. The 30-day window has closed; the amount stays on your balance and never expires. |

## 4. How do I ask for a refund?

Refund requests go by email. No ID or documents are needed.

1. **Write to support** — Email support@onyxpane.com with the subject "Refund request". If your account has an email address, write from it.
2. **Identify the payment** — Give the order reference (ORD-…) and the transaction ID (TXID) of the payment. Never send your account number or your Administrator password. Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number or your Administrator password, by email or in a chat.
3. **Say what you want back** — For days of a server that failed, give its IP address and what went wrong. For the minimum top-up part, give a USDT or USDC address and its network.
4. **Wait for the answer** — A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, including help with Remote Desktop connections, reinstalls and Windows Firewall rules.

## 5. What is not refundable?

- The balance from top-ups, apart from the minimum top-up part of section 3, unless the law requires a payout.
- The days left on a server that you delete.
- The days left on a server suspended for a breach of the [acceptable use policy](https://onyxpane.com/acceptable-use/ "What you can and cannot run on an Onyxpane Windows server").
- Data on a server deleted after its 7-day keep period, or erased by a reinstall. No automatic backups are included: keep your own copies of anything that matters.
- Network fees you paid when you sent crypto.
- A payment from an address on a sanctions list. Incoming payments are checked against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses; a payment from a listed address is not credited.
- Crypto sent on the wrong network or to the wrong address: a blockchain transaction cannot be reversed.

## 6. Can I file a chargeback on a crypto payment?

No. A crypto payment is final once the blockchain confirms it, so there is no chargeback route. This refund policy is the only way to get money back, and every request goes by email to support@onyxpane.com. The [terms of service](https://onyxpane.com/terms/ "Onyxpane terms of service under the law of Panama") include this policy, and the page on [where can I buy Windows RDP with crypto](https://onyxpane.com/buy-rdp-with-crypto/ "Coins, networks and hosts for a Windows RDP paid in crypto") explains each payment step.

## 7. Changes to this policy

We can update this policy. The date at the top shows the version in force, and a change applies to payments made after that date.
